The design was intended to facilitate spontaneous suburban camping trips or longer journeys involving sleeping far away from “civilization.” A folding furniture unit transforms the 4-seater Honda CR-V into a mini-camper. Folding down the rear seats and unfolding the mattress and three-piece plywood frame creates sleeping space for two people. Beneath the frame, there are three compartments for a water tank and basic camping gear. Once the frame and mattress are stowed, the rear seats can be returned to their upright position for normal use. The usable area is approximately 3 m².
